InvisaFil™ Thread Page
ABOUT INVISAFIL™
Our finest thread line, InvisaFil™, is a remarkable silk-like 100wt, 2-ply cottonized polyester. This ultra-fine but surprisingly strong thread has cotton-like characteristics and negligible stretch while also feeling soft in the hand. InvisaFil makes for super low bulk stitches and virtually “disappears”, making it the ultimate choice for English paper piecing, hand and machine appliqué, delicate lace designs, fine fabrics, creating texture when micro quilting, or whenever you don’t want your stitching to show. It is available in 60 subtle to bright colours with a matte finish, so you can choose how much want the thread to show (or not at all)!
“
Working with Wonderfil's threads has completely upped my quilting game. Decobob and InvisaFil threads are my personal favorites from the line and they have completely changed the way that I piece. The threads are easy to work with, as strong as anything, and positively melt into the fabric. I'll never use another thread for my English and foundation paper piecing for as long as I live!

We are constantly hand stitching our EPP designs for Quilt Market booths and shows . Using InvisaFil has upped our game. It is now to the point where we don't even worry about matching our thread to the background color - InvisaFil just melts into the fabric making our applique and EPP stitches invisible. It is our go-to thread and we don't leave home without it.
